First, we removed the original gravel driveway that had a lot of weed growing through. Then we put down a new base with a heavy duty weed protective membrane. We used the existing lawn as a natural border and poured down a bed of hot bitumen. We topped it with a layer of gravel chippings and machine-rolled them down.
